GREETINGS FROM THE MARGARET HALL FOUNDATION Since 1980 the Margaret Hall Foundation has been commited to funding innovative programs in secondary education. During these years the Margaret Hall Foundation has received proposals from over 150 independent schools and has awarded 207 grants totaling $1.4 million to schools located in more than 20 states. Enthusiasm and excitement characterize our foundation's history of rewarding grants nationwide and witnessing their fulfillment in substantive and creative programs to benefit students. The Margaret Hall Foundation makes awards to independent secondary schools grades nine through twelve, giving preference to girls' schools and coeducational schools, to schools affiliated with the Episcopal Church, and to school located in Kentucky. However all schools with grant ideas which meet our guidelines are encouraged to submit proposals. Proposals must be submitted on or before the first of February of each year.
